Emmanuel Farre, a self-taught patina artist, has been transforming genuine leather goods into custom coloured works of art.

Emmanuel began his trade in Toulouse, France. After studying and practicing on his own collection, he began working professionally alongside the Theatre National de Toulouse, Santoni and Noreve Saint Tropez. Growing up in an artistic household surrounded by his mother's antiques, Emmanuel had always been drawn to one-of-a-kind pieces.

His exclusive process consists of transforming any genuine leather with a tan/light-coloured base into a customized, one-of-a-kind piece. His work garnered global attention at which time he began doing numerous expos in New York City, at the Shoe Service Institute of America in Philadelphia, and the Hotel de Paris Saint Tropez. He joined Loding in 2010, and in 2014 he made the move to Toronto to become their exclusive patina artisan. You can now find him working at his atelier at Loding's Yorkville location - 133 Avenue Road, Toronto, Ontario. (maisonpatina.com)
